"Be aware that Fort Bend ISD has an inept administration. This has led to fundamental morale issues. If there is student behavior problems in your classroom, they don't want to hear about it. As a teacher, you are best off to resolve it in your classroom, than to bring it to the attention of the administration. The parents in this affluent community are very vocal and often side with their child. Demonstrate that you have excellent classroom management skills. The administration could careless about your knowledge of the subject matter."
What don't you like about working at Fort Bend ISD?
"I am convinced that many of administrative faculty at Fort Bend ISD are totally incompetent. They lacked fundamental people skills. As an example; they invariably sided with students and parents when teachers attempted to enforce basic discipline. They were very unprofessional in they way they teated teachers and staff. Teachers often lacked basic supplies. The administration assigned way too many unnecessary and meaningless administrative surveys and tasks."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Start from the top. Hire administrative personnel that are receptive to teachers' concerns. Get the facts prior to siding with students and parents. Provide adequate basic supplies to the teachers. Ask the teachers; what may we do as administration to make your job better"

"I enjoyed working with the students. Many of the students were interested in learning chemistry and were respectful of my teaching efforts."

"Fundamental change in support of the teachers. The administration maintained an adversary role with many teachers. We had very little money for office and laboratory supplies and limited IT support."
