Flooret Employee

"Head of Operations - Do not work for him if you are a woman Co. is GREAT at greenwashing their product, which is made of virgin plastic, shipped from Asia and NOT recyclable in the US. They pay to be "carbon neutral," but that does nothing to actually help the environment. So, really great job at being deceptive and lying to their customers, instead of putting their money into actually being a green company. They had one product made in the US (still plastic) but it was a failure, so it isn't on their website. More plastic just waiting to be dumped in a landfill, but at least they can say they manufacture in the US now! Operations head is a toxic person. After he cheated on his wife, and abandoned his team to moved to the least diverse state in the country, there was no boss to be found...unless it was to request that his divorce papers or car registration be forwarded to him. No direction, no support, no feedback. Not that his absence was that different when he was physically present. He disclosed a coworker's salary to me, and that is just a despicable and probably illegal. Disrespectful human. He does not treat the women the same as the men. He is clearly partial to (white) men and doesn't really respect women. I was let go after mentioning this bias, and was shut down from saying anything further. Shortly after, I was sent a mandatory meeting request, which ended up being my termination. They cited another reason, but it was obviously connected to me mentioning gender bias. He made me keep secrets about his personal life (cheating on his wife, moving to the East coast, etc) that no subordinate should have to keep. Had Flooret had an HR department, I would have gone to them about all of this. Co culture and work/life balance is a lie. Once this review is discovered, they will force everyone in the company to write a good review. That's what they did when a 1 star review appeared on glassdoor a few years ago. So, not a healthy place to work at all."
