What do you like about working at Fiserv?
"Large, though disconnected company."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be leary, one manager will tell you one thing then a bush league manager from somewhere else will subvert them. Really, unless you are desperate, look elsewhere. Personally, in hindsight I would have rather worked for a better firm, even at less pay. It just wasn't worth the hassle and putting up with poor management."
What don't you like about working at Fiserv?
"Too disjointed, low quality middle management. A silly version of an IT shop and unfortunately bush league but you don't realize that until you are already there. Many in middle and upper management seem to have no other qualifications other than have taken a Dale Carnegie course or done a motivational speaking class and talk in silly quips, cliches and platitudes. Sometimes you think you're in a cheesy movie. It's like they're trying to pretend they're this big firm but it's really just a lot of small time shops operating under one banner."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hire someone who actually has been to business school or has experience at a firm that knows what they are doing. Seriously. Send someone who knows what they're doing in IT to Dallas that office is a circus."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I would not recommend coming here."
What don't you like about working at Fiserv?
"Very disorganized and non-existent processes. Lack of innovation. Communications regarding layoffs, reorganizations, clients, etc. only go out to managers, who hardly pass information on. Middle managers are incompetent and just parrot what others have said. No accountability from managers, they just want to be your friend. Overpaid and underutilized employees. Noticeably uneven distribution of work. There's more but that's enough for now."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Fiserv 2.0 is the right way to go. It won't be easy. For middle management is hard. Learn to deal with the problems rather than ignoring them."
