"Pleasant place to work"
What do you like about working at JC Penney?
"Everyone is friendly and helpful, management included, working there is a team effort. Associates get thanked in many Ways for their work. Salary is above average. Overall pleasant place to work, if you have the right attitude it can also be an exciting place to work bc of all the new changes. Retail is retail but I love my job"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I was very nervous for my interview, but that went away almost as soon as I walked in the door. All of the employees said hello to me as I was waiting by the offices, the interviews had pointed questions but were not like an interrogation or test, It was relaxed and I had discussions with the interviewer, I had 3 in one day, the hiring manager, store manager, and my dept manager. Just be yourself and be honest. Dress appropriately, be respectful, have a good work ethic"
What don't you like about working at JC Penney?
"Retail is retail, sometimes there are rude customers, sometimes customers do inappropriate things, but there is nothing negative about working with the store itself or it's employees."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The management at my store is wonderful for the most part, they come as quickly as possible when you call them to the floor or need them. In some instances I feel that a manager should not have too many depts under them as it makes it harder for them to focus on each individual dept to the fullest"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Yes, go with confidence and you will succeed. Is a good company to put your good customer service skills to work."
