"My salary is well below the average yet the amount of responsibility and skill sets I have is either the same or much better than those in my role with competitors. The business strategy in regards to FDM’s salary is basically finding well qualified applicants not yet discovered by large companies and offer them jobs and some training then under pay them well under what they worth but over sell us to clients for services. FDM profits highly off the young labor force it acquires cheaply but sells expensively. Employees who mostly are right out of college or veterans have the opportunity to be hired by FDM’s clients after two years on contract being financially bounded. You have opportunity to get good experience with large companies who are clients of FDM, and after two years you have opportunity to be hired with a good offer from your performance as a contractor. While a contractor, you just have to deal with the low compensation and mediocre benefits FDM provides"
