"FactSet is a very collaborative and exciting place to work with a great social-work-life balance. It's a great place to join to learn and grow as an engineer and build a strong career. FactSet has grown from a small mid-sized company to a fairly large company and there have been growing pains as expected, but overall is still a great place to work!"
"They treated you fair. Lot's of turnover at the moment. Some good people work there. I hope everyone keeps their job."
"Great company to get a wide exposure to both finance and technology. The organization is made up of young, smart and driven individuals and offers an incredible work/life balance."
"I've worked at FactSet for four years and the work environment has always been engaging. They take care of their employees well and are generous with benefits. It's a great place to start a career in."
"A good company to start out in. Needs better ways to move up within organization."
"I worked at FactSet for over six years. Overall the environment is very friendly and the work schedule is great for a financial software company. You are given a lot of opportunities to turn initiative into results. My managers were always receptive to ideas coming from anywhere, including first year developers. Free lunches four days a week and provided drinks/snacks, also helped to create a good overall work environment. The thing that makes the company is the people working there. They are focused on finding great people, then finding a good place to utilize their abilities. So there is a wide variety of backgrounds at FactSet that produce a unique and friendly atmosphere."
"Needs major changes particularly around management since many are people promoted from within with little real management knowledge. Years of experience is favored over actual knowledge and skills related to the product. The company underpays most employees. Teams get varying salary increases so that one team can get a low percent while others are getting in double digits. It's on the list of best places to work since it has a nice relaxing environment and performs a lot of community service, but it uses the list to not improve."
"It has been a great company with good work life balance and great culture. But with the CEO from the sales and marketing background, the emphasis is more on the sales department rather than on the technology. There is great in-house talent but which is under utilized. Try to improve the technology, Factset can soon overcome Bloomberg!"
"Great place to start your career, talented people and superb working environment. You are appreciated beyond the work you produce!"
"My experience was not typical of the company as a whole."
