What do you like about working at Hamilton Consulting?
"They paid $30 per hour; the Stand Up! program was well thought out and I saw lot of improvement and increased confidence in the clients at the end of the program."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Get everything in writing before you lift a finger to work."
What don't you like about working at Hamilton Consulting?
"It was their first time administering the program, so there were a lot of administrative kinks; especially with regards to remuneration. They were always late with getting the cheques out to their independent contractors (of which I was one) and usually required several follow-up emails before the cheque was mailed out to me. Communication was lacking as well. They don't discuss anything with you beforehand; they simply make decisions about your assignments and then expect that because they are offering you $30, you will just jump at it. Whereas I was flattered that they regarded me to be the most effective and successful facilitator/trainer in the program, I still would have appreciated them speaking with me before assigning me other projects without my knowledge or consent."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Create direct deposit for remuneration. Ensure that independent contractors get the same level of urgency when processing their pay as regular employees.Managers are able to bring the best out in people through their ongoing participation and buy in, rather than simply directing them what to do, especially in independent contractor agreements."
