Event Coordinator at NCiM
in Mechanicsburg, PA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Well It's a complicated start-up, but it gets easier over time.. though not for everyone!"

What do you like about working at NCiM?

"You determine what days you'd like to work based on your personal schedule. Unlike their competitors, NCiM has 30 min paid breaks. You work 11am-5pm, that's the only shift.Weekend work ONLY. Fri/Sat/SunOccasionally a Wed/Thurs"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you want to work, chances are there is a need for an EP in your area.Be prepared for a lot of expense up front to get going if you decide you want to stay after 3 events.Give an honest days work, because though they may not be in the store with you, they have eyes and ears, so don't duck out of your shift after only an hour!"

What don't you like about working at NCiM?

"Only $53.00 / event you complete.. so If you only work 1 event a month.. your getting $53.00.Your at the store, conducting your events 100% SOLO. There's no one to turn to when things go wrong. They don't even answer their helps lines. You don't get paid until they get your physical paperwork. Hope your postal system is good! You don't pay taxes up front, you need to file your own taxes. No benefits.A lot of gaps in communication between you, your scheduler and corporateALL expenses come from YOUR very slim $53.00 per event, checks! Your table, your uniform, your agency debit card are all taken from your pay.On occasion, you need to use your own appliances to cook/prepare foods. You are compensated, but you are required to have the needed appliances to work these events."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Bridge your gaps of communications, and start paying people the money they deserve for the work they do!"
