"Entercom has a lot of opportunity for improvement. They are a company with a leg up on radio but so many missed opportunities to catch up with the major players. Their policies can be a bit dated. People are usually pretty nice. There is an opportunity to work on the overall morale of the employees."

"I really don't have much to say about them, the company was great when it was under CBS. But when the new company came in they took a lot from how we got the job done. They were asking for more work with fewer tools to get the job done."

"I worked at Entercom for a little over three years. Working behind the scenes in radio is fun, but there wasn't really anywhere to move upward beyond a certain point unless you became a salesperson or managed to become an on-air personality."

"I left a very successful and steady position after being recruiting by Entercom for a new project they were starting. Less than a year after starting with them the Covid-19 pandemic hit and they were quick to let me go because of it. I had heard a lot of negative things about Entercom before joining but decided to take the chance anyway. Unfortunately most of the negative opinions were ultimately proven true."

"Technology has taken a back seat at this company. It is very hard to get technology resources aka a laptop if yours breaks, or if you are a new hire, or enough bandwidth in your email to be able to save the appropriate emails that you need to. Be aware it's not a terrible company they just care mostly about the investors and there is a lot of "old boys club" promotions that happen. If you are good with "ok" and "good enough" this company will be good enough."

"Many of the things that are wrong with Entercom bring to mind the phrase "the fish rots from the head". The General Sales Manager is woefully inexperienced for the job title. Having had no experience in radio sales - the GSM provides no training to Account Executives or support staff, is unclear and selective with communication and does not possess adequate leadership skills."

What don't you like about working at Entercom Communications?

"Mgmt wouldn't know talent if it hit them in the face. They use up excellent, honest people with integrity and chew them up and spit them out. They can't get a good mgr to work for them anymore. They had a market mgr work for them a few years ago who they once fired because they couldn't get anyone else to take the job! Mgmt will fire other mgr.s who they are threatened by. There have been so many GREAT managers that have been through that place that they have let slip through their fingers! Now all they can get to be GSM's are people who used to be sales assistants! It's laughable. Commissions are continually cut to hit the bottom line...other AE's are so desperate for a sale that there was constant backstabbing. It's a political nightmare! Favoritism runs rampant. People who work there are constantly on the lookout for a better opportunity."
