"Stress of behavior management in the classroom was overwhelming. Lesson planning and grading created endless paperwork that took over my after work and weekend hours."

"The high demands and the fact that we are given formulas for everything we do when we are dealing with human beings who don't conform!"

"Take the stress off the teachers. Lessen the demands that are literally unattainable for any one person."

"The atmosphere was very accepting and my cowowrkers were phenomenal."

"You must be prepared to work much more than the 40 hours you are paid for and over plan everything. You must be able to multitask and communicate with the students and their parents."

"My evaluations were based on the work and motivation levels of my 17-year-old students, who delighted in challenging the school system."

"Teachers should have more freedom to teach in the manner they see fit, rather than being told how to do so."

"The students are full of energy and bring many blessings into your life"

"Have a strong passion for Christ, and for molding young lives. The kids are great, but they require a lot of patience."

"Administrative is very good at supporting the staff, but sometimes the parents are too aggressive to protect their innocent kid."

"Keep up the good work. There is a strong commitment to character development."
What do you like about working at E. Bo-Young's Talking Club?
"Kids were enjoyable, but kids are enjoyable everywhere. The school was not in Seattle, WA but in Seoul of course, not far from Bucheon Station. This system doesn't give me an option to add a Korean address."

"Choose another school. Seoul is ful of great schools that will offer you bonues and raises and allow you growth in your position of all types. This is a franchise and is not supervised by the main company. The owner can treat you any way they wish."
What don't you like about working at E. Bo-Young's Talking Club?
"The owner sold the school and fired me a day before Christmas vacation. I was forced to move out of the staf apartment and find a new job with no notice. Pay was awful. The accomodations were filthy. It was a nightmare."

"The teachers were not paid on time. The school had few supplies. The owner was disorganized."

"My students, my colleagues, my content area, the constant quest to improve the quality of education afforded to the students, the constant attempt to integrate technology in an pedagogically sound way, the numerous opportunities for professional development"

"Know your content; know your pedagogy; be exceptionally and acutely aware of any new educational trends; be technologically adept"

"The external (i.e. primarily state and national) mandates and dictates that often debilitated teachers' autonomy and their ability to make the best decisions for their students"

"Avoid implementing every educational fad that rises on the horizon for the mere sake of satiating the public; allow teachers to take the lead and utilize what their experiences has proven to them to be effective; allow teachers to determine what level of and types of technology best suit their particular pedagogical and instructional needs"

"The students, my colleagues, teaching my favorite subjects: British Literature and Advanced Placement."

"Be prepared to do it their way; originality or breaking from years of tradition are not much welcomed."
