Emory Healthcare Employee

"I have never worked in a department like this and hope I never do. Their billing department is full of messy petty women who will throw you under the bus and talk to you very unprofessional. If I brought how I was spoken to to the table I was told that I was being rude and aggressive. The manager would gossip about people with other employees. Overall if you are not looking to journey back to high school stay away from this department because the manager is a compulsive liar as she lied to me every day. Very emotionally draining, hostile and stressful work environment. Save yourself the headache."

"Emory is a great place to work if you are under the right management. I won't use names, however one Manager who is in Emory's BMT/ Oncology Dept.(LT) knows nothing about her job. She has used her human resources friend to score positions and bragged about it, basically she flaunted about being a airhead and having the director wrapped around her little finger. It's sad when you can't trust the human resources staff, the directors or managers. Also if you don't suck up to management you will be stuck in the same position."

What do you like about working at Emory Healthcare?

"I liked the academic environment. The building was nice. Not much else to recommend it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Given the right physician support, this is a great place to work. I've been in one branch or another for 12 years. My last division was a soul-sucking, horror show. I do find that there is a lot of new 'initiatives' always being rolled out. People meet, are taught the new plans, and then they fail or one reason or another. If you don't get along with the dept. managers, your work life is hell. Luckily, I didn't have this problem, but others did. Not fun."

What don't you like about working at Emory Healthcare?

"When the promised training to do my job never appeared, I was still held accountable for the work I wasn't trained on. Consequently I was very stressed and my evals fell horribly. Prior to this division, I had excellent evaluations."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of all the managers who don't know how to manage people."
