"I worked for Elemental Technologies for the first half of 2013. I found the company to be very generous to their employees. They strive to provide a comfortable working environment for all their team members. As a software company I found their approach to employee satisfaction over reaching. They seemed to put more emphasis on social engineering rather than performance characteristics. As a consequence good people were let-go for cultural reasons."

"I liked learning about the new video compression and video distribution technology and presenting/selling it to customers"

"Make sure that you have a clear understanding of the job before you take it."

"I ran the channel sales and unfortunately our internal direct sales team was competing with my channel sales team."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would have structured the sales channel vs direct sales differently. Essentially, letting the channel have specific verticals that required more support but brought in less revenue."
