"I have gotten the chance to meet some really hard working, friendly, honest people."

"I would avoid interviewing with Edmund if at all possible."
What don't you like about working at Edmund Optics?
"Just about everything. Some family businesses are great places to work. Sadly Edmund is not one of them. Every decision (big and small) has to be approved by the owners daughter. Its so bad that qualified directors/managers are unable to have any real power/ impact. Even mundane tasks like buying supplies for the restrooms are handled by the owners daughter. Who buys cough drops to place in a public (or private!) restroom Crazy."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Allow management to do make the decisions they were hired for."
"Avoid at all costs! Take your optics degree to Thor."
What do you like about working at Edmund Optics?
"Most of the people I work with are very supportive."

"I would make sure you get what you want upfront. Once hired it is very hard to move up within the organization."
What don't you like about working at Edmund Optics?
"Management thinks they are running Google or Apple. Earth to Edmund, Barrington is a ghetto not Silicon Valley."

"Retire. Let someone who actually cares about people attempt to make it a nice place to work."

"Not much opportunity to advance further in career. Not much interest in advanced technology."
