"I love that I get to write about whatever I think our readers would enjoy reading, but I don't like that fact that I don't earn much money for doing so much work. I had a much better time when I was Editor of Surfing Magazine, getting paid a nice annual salary and traveling the world on the magazine's dime. Not to mention the benefits and perks that came with the job. As an owner of a magazine, there are no perks other than free surfboards and apparel, and no insurance benefits since we are still too small to afford it."
