Working at DocuTAP in Sioux Falls, SD: 2 Employee Reviews

DocuTAP Employee

"There are redeeming moments at DocuTAP. The leadership does make an attempt at fostering a team environment and healthy culture, however their views on what healthy culture means are misguided. There is room for advancement at DocuTAP if you are favored by the "right" leadership members and the timing is right. The company makes no qualms about the fact that religion is a big part of working at DocuTAP. The CEO has stated that God is in the driver seat when it comes to running the company. This in itself is not necessarily a problem, however if you're not on board with weekly bible studies, religious speeches and the occasional foot washing of senior leadership you'd be best served to keep to yourself. If you are okay with (Christian) religion being a central part of your job DocuTAP may be a good fit for you. The decision making process at DocuTAP is inconsistent at best. Senior leadership seems to take most direction from the CEO and direction seems to vary day to day depending on his mood. While Christian values are heavily preached at DocuTAP the actions of leadership are not consistent with them. While there are promotions at DocuTAP often they come in the form of a complaint about another employee or a threat to leave. There is no consistency in the hiring process. Many employees have expressed concern with tenured employees being arbitrarily appointed to a job before anyone else has a chance to apply or even knows the position exists. In many cases a person is singled out due to a personality difference with a director or simply because a director may have a friend in mind for that person's position. Nepotism is a way of life at DocuTAP. While the company preaches a work life balance the reality is much different. The company is hesitant to hire more employees where they are obviously needed. It's not uncommon to work 70+ hours at DocuTAP. You are expected to be okay with your personal phone being treated as a corporate phone. If you push back about"

"Overall a great company to work for. I highly recommend them if the technology used is of interest to you. However, that is the tricky part."
