Working at Doc Bs Fresh Kitchen in Chicago, IL: 3 Employee Reviews

Doc Bs Fresh Kitchen Employee

"This place doesn't care about its employees at all. All they care about is having employees work round the clock so the bar won't be unattended. It's hard to keep a work-life balance when you're working here because almost every day, you will be asked to work overtime or to cover for someone else's shift. You can't even complain about this setup because the management has a passive-aggressive attitude and you might suddenly lose your job if you complain."

"As a whole, working here is always stressful. During peak hours, it's stressful enough because of busy tables but the manager makes it more stressful. He nags and shouts at servers if someone makes a mistake. He doesn't care even when the customers can hear him shouting. If you get work elsewhere, skip this restaurant,"

Server

"Being a server at Doc B's is both fun and stressful. It's fun when I get big tips and all servers are working so there's no shortage of serves. But it's stressful when only a few servers come in and the bar is full. Also, when the owner is around, he makes it more stressful to work. He snaps and shouts at anyone who makes even the smallest mistakes. He doesn't even care if the customers can see or hear him shouting at us. He's an insensitive and rude owner."
