What don't you like about working at Mattress Firm?

"Working in retail can be challenging because it changes so often. You have to be ready and willing to change regularly. Also, we're open 7 days a week, so this is not a 9-5 job. We work a lot of hours."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Our CEO is really people focused. When other companies cut spending in training, he increased it. I would ensure this focus on training and promotion from within doesn't go away."

"Don't micro manage and learn your employees. Hiring seasoned recruiters is not what you need to do. To learn your process, new recruiters to the business would work better."
