"It gave be the ability to work with a wide range of people with different personalities. It gave me the chance to manage and train young adults given their first job and career professionals, and make them get along. It honed my customer service skills. It trained me to think fast and make the right decisions."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be honest and dont be afraid to show your true personality. They can spot people faking a mile away."
What don't you like about working at Starwood Hotels & Resorts?
"My only problem was 60-70 hour work weeks which left not much time for a personal life or my artwork. Please do not get me wrong I am not afraid of working long hard hours when needed."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Trust your managers and let them do their jobs."

"Prestigous older yacht club with great tradition and a great membership that is very involved within the club."

"Just do the best you can do and listen to the membership as they run the club and restaurant"
What don't you like about working at Newport Harbor Yacht Club?
"The job stabilty due to the new management team replacing the former well established management team. Tough act to follow being the former GM was so liked and respected, made it difficult for any new management team to perform."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Let the membership be involved in how the operation runs. Work with them and don't change the operation and way the club runs."
