What don't you like about working at DePaul University?
"5 bosses in 2 years. Chaos. Absolute chaos. Bosses with absolute job security , an inability to explain what they want, and a god complex. Well, that was 2 of the 5. One other was a retired three star general - and he was the one you could actually have a discussion with to request clarification. Then for awhile, with no warning or time to properly prepare, we had no boss at all."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"In my particular department, I think the only way to make improvements to the working environment would be to tell the faculty that they are not gods and can't do anything and everything they want. After that, if would be good if he would make a decision on how things would move forward. I was there for two years and had 5 different bosses, who each too us in entirely different direction without warning or explanation, then got angry with us when we couldn't figure out what anyone wanted from us, or how to keep from being blamed for it all."
