"This company had a great corporate culture. I felt free to express myself and who I was. I also was given the opportunity to make life-threatening decisions for my section. This made my stress levels manageable, able to render quick movement when problems arose."

"There is plenty of room to grow if you stay for years and are willing to wait for people to retire. They are incredibly behind on technology standards and are incredibly strict on how you get auxiliary programming utilities on the internet such as compilers and libraries. My supervisor wasn't technologically savvy and I felt that most of my time was spent writing reports and trying to explain projects to people who didn't understand simple projects instead of getting projects done."

"Difficult environment with very poor communication. Worked many unpaid hours just to keep job. Stressful answering phones from agents all over the world who seemed to think it was our fault for their problems. Many difficult and completely undocumented systems to support and explain. "I have worked for FEMA since 2006. My position is temporary and I work only when disasters hit our nation. The work is exciting, high pace and very demanding. The people I work with on the front lines are fantastic; this job is rewarding. Upper management has made negative changes that affect work place. There is no longer any incentive for improvement or raises."
