"The pay was higher than most other positions but you need to take into consideration where the position is located. There is quite a bit of difference between living in the San Diego, CA area and say, somewhere in the Midwest. Technicians make the same so the Midwest tech is making 2 to 3 times what the West Coast tech is making when you take into consideration the cost of living. We also got 16 days of paid vacation a year and worked 4 day work weeks which was nice, while you got 16 days you had to take them when the office took vacation."
