"Continuous 3-6 month projects at a variety of clients, industries, and geographic locations keeps things fresh. High turnover at Deloitte in the Sr. Consultant and Manager ranks means that there are many opportunities for rapid advancement in project responsibilities, up to those levels."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Clothing and grooming should be top shelf professional. Sell them on your problem solving skills (that's what consulting boils down to), your flexibility to work where needed, and your desire to not just be an 'outstanding' consultant but your interest to learn the business of consulting. Ask as many questions about Deloitte as they ask about you."
What don't you like about working at Deloitte?
"Ineffective career management. Their system doesn't reward those who do the best work and provide the best leadership; it rewards the poseurs who take credit for other people's work and leadership."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Consulting is a people talent based business, and while Deloitte does a great job of recruiting top talent, they completely fail to retain the top talent. Deloitte leadership appears to be very susceptible to manipulation by their weakest consultants; resulting in the politicians getting promoted and the most talented consultants encouraged to 'pursue other options'. Deloitte management needs develop better BS filters and stop being so gullible."

"I don't like working there, it gets on my nerves."

"Look the other way... there are other consulting companies with less stress an no internal initiatives."

"You have some freedoms, but you may or may not get the credit for work produced."

"I would listen to the thoughts of all employees and not jump to conclusions."
