266,012 Delivery Driver Jobs Nationwide

Delivery drivers are necessary for a variety of industries and services. From packages to pizza, every business that offers delivery to your home needs drivers who can efficiently drive to customers' homes and deliver their orders directly to their doors.

Skillset: Delivery drivers need a clean driving record and an excellent sense of direction. Drivers for small businesses such as pizza or sandwich shops typically need to use their own vehicle, while drivers for package delivery or messenger companies will usually be supplied with a company truck or vehicle.

Education: Few businesses require that their delivery drivers posses college degrees. A high school diploma or equivalent will usually suffice, with the exception of rare positions where drivers are transporting large sums of money or biological material, where job candidates may need to obtain certification. A commercial driver's license may be necessary in positions where employees are driving trucks.

Career Path: Delivery drivers may have opportunities for advancement. While pizza and food delivery drivers may receive opportunities for managerial positions down the line, package delivery drivers are more likely to experience job growth, and to move up in the shipping world.
