"The impression I got from working there that it was more important to maintain a good patient licence than to maintain good patient care. The patients were treated like cattle that had to hurry up and finish their treatment so we could get the next group of patients in to the chairs. There were more meetings about keeping the numbers high rather than the quality of care that the patients were getting. I watched as the new manager, who had no medical background whatsoever, tried more to kiss the ass of administration than take care of her crew. Who by the way, half of them left or quit within six months of her taking over the clinic."

"Horrible experience. There over a year and saw RNs forced out, HR is corrupt and ineffective. Leaders are kept out of the loop and secretaries are running the show at most clinics. They churn and burn managers at the rate of about 1 per year."

"It was great in the beginning, but then many changes came down which were not for better."

"The company sucks!"

What do you like about working at DaVita?

"I liked the stock options."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Stay far, far away from this company."

What don't you like about working at DaVita?

"Unless you wanted to sleep your way to the top, you weren't moving up or lasting in the company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Fire the human resources department and their corporate compliance department. Once you file a complaint about someone sexually harassing you, they remove you from the company. The employee relations manager likes to sleep around and then fire center managers. And then they promoted him. Go figure."

"DaVita used to be a great company to work for, but no more."

What don't you like about working at DaVita?

"The company no longer cares about its teammates. The bottom line became more important, and it is all a numbers game. People services makes very bad judgement calls. People who should have been terminated were allowed to keep their jobs, and others were fired who should have been able to stay."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Remember that without the teammates, the company would not be what it is today. Give credit where it is due. Fix people services, especially in team renaissance."

"I USED to love this company... but times have changed."

What do you like about working at DaVita?

"I liked the stability of a Fortune 500 company. I loved this company back when it was smaller and the mission and values were more than just words."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't fall for the mission and values speech. The sales pitch is great... and it used to ring true. But in many parts of the country this is no longer the reality. Be sure to be prepared to answer behavioral interview questions."

What don't you like about working at DaVita?

"It has changed. The company has gotten too big. The mission and values are just words. Politics and stepping on others to get to the top have gotten out of hand. Management by fear has crept in. It's just another big company now. You can't leave there without being black-balled, no matter how valuable you were as a teammate when you were there. If you leave and go to the competition, they will trash you."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Go back to the old days when you actually cared about the patients! There is too much focus on the bottom line. Even the local and regional managers can't do a good job because they have too much on their plates and are expected to work 24/7."

"Very sadly true; it once was a great company."

What do you like about working at DaVita?

"The first two years before the purchase of Gambro, all ethics and care of staff were lost at that point! The COE was out to screw people daily. The company lost all ethics or close to it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't, unless you have no other choices."

What don't you like about working at DaVita?

"I dislike the DaVita of today. There was a time it was a company that cared about its people; now it is only the bottom line. Upper management steps over each other to look good to the COE, even if it means axing several good people."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of the COE."
