"Be sure this is the career you want, because once you're here, you're here forever."

What don't you like about working at DaVita?

"DaVita is all about numbers. Your hours are based on how many patients are at your clinic. Our clinic is getting slammed but we can't hire another nurse because the numbers say we're doing fine with our current staffing. Nurses spend between 43-50 hours a week working a 4-day work week. It's impossible to move within the company too. DaVita loves to hire from the outside so much that a lateral move is like pulling teeth. (I still haven't pulled this off.) Oh, and they don't match any of your 401K!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop all the micromanaging or just do the task yourself."

What do you like about working at DaVita?

"I like the people I work with because they're not catty."

"Before you accept the job, make sure it's the one you want to work for the rest of your life."

What don't you like about working at DaVita?

"There's no room to move to other positions within the company, and your hours are based on how many patients your clinic has."

"I would communicate what I need and what's going on better."

"I like the patients and my boss, the flexible work schedule, and the ability to grow."

"I dislike bickering and gossip, and the lack of leadership in some areas."

"Learn better team concept. Work with each other in a more professional manner."

What do you like about working at DaVita?

"I did not like working at DaVita. The individuals in the human resources department are sub-par at best, and they are liars. They do very little to protect their employees, which they refer to as teammates. They do not award you raises and/or evaluations on time. I had to wait over a year to have them provide me with my evaluation. And I never received my retro-active pay. I had to keep asking them to do my review and kept reminding them that it was severely past-due. Although I did not get my raise, I was asked to take on more responsibilities that I was not compensated for."

"Don't bother."

"What I didn't like about DaVita were the people who were supposed to be in charge (aka the teammates within the human resources department)."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My suggestion to management is to review the supposed leaders whom they have working for them in human resources, and to clean house and start over with competent individuals who can take on the responsibilities associated with the department."
