"management is unrealistic and out of touch, and unwilling to tackle the difficult questions. As such, everything is an emergency, and always in reactive mode. Problems are never prevented, only dealt with after they become problems"

"Be active, not reactive; actually use the software, and avoid wishful thinking."

"I have enjoyed working by time there. My commute is the only issue I have right now."

"It has allowed me to diversify my technical skills as well as have a comfortable work/home life balance as a single parent."

"It is a great place to work if you don't mind commuting. However, the company is very large and spread out."
What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?
"I relocated from PA to VA for a specific contract in Springfield. My commute in PA for 17 years was 2 miles. It was important to me not to have a long commute. Lockheed lost the contract and there are not many other opportunities in Springfield. It is now taking me an hour to drive 10 miles to work!"

"I have had great direct managers."

"Some of the people in the working class of IT were awesome, and most of the users were awesome."

"Unless you really need the money, or are going to work outside of IT there, find another place to work."

"Management. Always pandering and politicking, idea sucking from team with no reward ever, close minded about process improvement, productivity was pathetic."

"Senior management - fire all of the brownnosers. They are doing nothing to grow the department, and providing smokescreen reports at best."
