"I have been employed full time at Consolidated Precision Products for the last year and a half. I am in love with my current employer for a handful of reasons. First and foremost lies in the fact that we produce a physical product, primarily jet engines. Seeing an engine start as a Wax Mold and then slowly morph into a part is an exciting process. Knowing that the work I do can increase the efficiency of this process is also enthralling. CPP Provides a strong focus on its employees and the quality of the products they produce. Despite the downturn in the aerospace market, I look forward to seeing how my employer will adapt."

"I worked for Consolidated Precision Products for seventeen years, prior to them being sold it was the perfect company to work for. Now I wouldn't go back due to the family orient of the company is no longer there. The new owners don't want to know who you are or what you actually bring to the company. You're just a number to them."

What do you like about working at Consolidated Precision Products?

"I really enjoy seeing the production of parts from a drawing conception to a reality. I enjoy working on components that end up on aircraft and spacecraft. I enjoy the type of work as far as the problem solving and creation goes."

"I would just give a word of warning that there is not much of a future for anyone getting involved in this company."

What don't you like about working at Consolidated Precision Products?

"Unfortunately my company has a learn by failure atmosphere, lacking a proper structure in process. Also their greatest weakness is their stance on employee empowerment. When I asked my boss if our company would consider sponsoring my masters degree he said that he would never allow it because it would make me more valuable and I would leave. I work for a multi-million dollar a year facility, who wont invest in their own employees."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I feel that our management needs to make a better effort to inform those around them of what is going on. I also fee that there should be a yearly review to discuss personal goals that would not only create ambition in the workforce but would probably create a healthier productivity level."
