"The hours were killer. Most days I had to work 6-6. And we worked lots of weekends on top of that."

"Dont overwork the underwriters."

"If you're a clear, empathetic speaker, play that up. Everybody I worked with was on the phone a whole lot."

"High turnover, the company itself was bought and then sold, to its own detriment, during my time there. It's why our branch closed."

"More caution in contemplating mergers."

"Well-coordinated sharing of data between us and the home office. I was a smooth operation once everyone was trained. They valued my input."

"Be inquisitive. Look like somebody who can offer solutions."

"Instability. They shut down the Western office, derailing my career there, than re-opened that office a few years later."

"Be a little less secretive, work alongside us grunts now and then."
