What do you like about working at Connections Academy?

"The caliber of select team members was on par with my expectations."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are a software programmer, or specifically would like to be one, this might be the right place for you."

What don't you like about working at Connections Academy?

"The management structure of the IT department, all the way up to the CTO, were programmers coming from small shop programming backgrounds making for very monolithic conversations about other facets of the SDLC process, like Quality Control, Integration, Deployment, virtualization, etc. In my opinion, Management had their hearts in the right place, but fell short of the experience and exposure required for the other disciplines to avoid common mistakes."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I recommend a broader base of management experience to truly take advantage of the people resources available. They have hired smart people, but firmly control the steering of the ship with a very monolithic view of the SDLC process."
