"I enjoy working on the railroad. It is always an adventure and I am a firm believer in providing an alternative mode of transport to driving and flying. It is hard work at times but I still very much enjoy what I do."

"This job will be obsolete. Safety is a joke! Please talk to someone who does this job. If you are single and just want to make money and work all the time away from home on every holiday this is the job for you. If you are married you will end up divorced. The money is not worth the sacrifice."

"No life, company will try to fire you every chance they get, dangerous. Work is different every day in some kind of way, The pay and benefits are well above average, especially when people spend $80k on a 5 year degree and only make $70k a year, and we can easily make $10k every two weeks in certain locations. It's a cool factor job, every little kid in the world... and some big kids, want to be you."
