Concordia University Careers & Info

Concordia University Overview

Concordia University is a public university based in Montreal, Canada. Alongside McGill University, Concordia is one of only two English universities in a city where French is the predominant language of instruction. The university has approximately 46,000 students enrolled, which makes it one of Canada's largest educational institutions.

While Concordia University was created in 1974, the institution's history goes back much longer. It is the result of a merger between Sir George William University, founded in 1926 and Loyola College, which was founded back in 1896. The University has two campuses, the main one being located in downtown Montreal and the Loyola campus, which is set in the more quiet residential neighborhood of Notre-Dame-de-Grace.
