Senior Project Manager

"ARRIS/COMPANY has very good policies for employees regardless their age, religion and sexual orientation. Salary for a contractor can be quite attractive, however is very difficult to become a full staff member or to advance in the organization. Also, the major technology driving the hardware is getting obsolete and not following market trends."

"I started working at Arris 4 years ago. It was a good company, fun and challenging job, had great co-workers, and they quickly advanced me into Management. However, when Arris was bought by CommScope about 1-1/2 yrs ago, things changed. There was a dire lack of communication from upper management, business started slacking and there were far less projects for the team. Multiple layoffs occurred, and my team of 12 full timers went down to myself and 2 part-timers. My position was eventually eliminated as well. I do not recommend going to work for CommScope until they get a better business strategy implemented and improve their communications standards."

"I have been with CommScope (or one of its acquisitions) for 10 years. Company still working through growing pains after recent acquisition, still balancing staff and working through issues. Right now - a very uncertain atmosphere but overall - a solid company."

"Generally a good place to work if you like big companies. Commscope's root are as a manufacturing company and they are trying to transition in a technology company."

"They need to have better training for new hires. Also, they do not hire enough people to get the job done. Other than that, it is a great place to work. No other complaints."

"I've worked for CommScope for a little over 16 months. Went through an acquisition at the start of 2019, which really shook things up. Overall the company offers decent PTO, sick/personal days, Health Insurance, generous 401(k) match, and a really nice office environment in San Diego. Very corporate hierarchical structure and a lot of directors and managers are very set in their outdated ways, slow growth paths, and very strict corporate spending policies."

"I have worked for Ruckus for over a year. Just acquired by Commscope. Merger has been horrible. Don't like new CEO. has mostly good management, but there are a few bad ones that don't enable their direct reports well. Solid products and solutions, and it's easy to get behind them in terms of solutions selling. Great co-workers. Just can't recommend since the Commscope merger though."
