There are opportunities to work on a variety of different types of software: web applications, mobile applications, desktop applications, and more. In the 5+ years I've worked at Cognizant Softvision, I've tested mobile applications, web applications, communication bridges, APIs, and more. Monetary compensation for US-based QA engineers seems to be below market rates. The rest of the compensation package is pretty standard for the US. The company recently changed to an unlimited PTO policy. While every company has its pros and cons, Cognizant Softvision is a good place to work, especially with the ability to continually learn new skills and knowledge."
