"It is boring and the chairs are uncomfortable. When there is no voters it is slow and you need a lot of patience waiting. When there are a lot of voters the machines might get broken. The paperwork for the changing of address is hectic. Besides that it was a nice experience seeing people in the neighborhood and helping the voters vote."

"Too much politics. Agencies do not always work together for the overall good."

"Get educated in current hiring trends and techniques. Look more to experience than to education."

"It is possible to advance up to a point, but it is complicated to get into management level positions."

"I have too much down time, my projects are not exciting or challenging, and I'm not clear on what I should be doing to advance myself or goals."

"Not much can be done at that level -- sort of depends on money and the Mayor."

"I have no suggestions for management other than they should make themselves a little bit more apparent."

"I love helping others resolve their disputes in a conciliatory matter. Most of my arbitrations end up in settlement created by the parties with my assistance as facilitator."

"Be willing to serve without pay as an opportunity to give back to the community. A form of pro bono service."

What don't you like about working at City of New York?

"I do not get enough opportunities to arbitrate as there are many arbitrators and not enough days to give out to all who want to participate."

"It is all about funding and the amount of capital available to give to the arbitration program. I would suggest they allot more funding for this service."

"to protect the public and property In the construction industry by enforcing OSHA and DOB codes"

"reactive instead of proactive in implementing OSHA and DOB rules and regulations"
