"If you are a developer: make sure you your manager understands the technology they are managing. Be wary of a manager with a recent MBA who has never touched a lick of real tech trench."

"Management discipline is non-existent--no deadlines, no accountability, no project methodology. The place is a ticking time bomb, because virtually none of its products are defensible in-and-of themselves. Product quality and customer retention suffers in this environment."

"Be more dynamic. Set goals. Stand up and lead. Curb the politics and the deflection and the protective den-mother a bit. Or your people go soft and wander aimlessly."

"The place was a revolving door for them to bring in Indian workers, on 3 to 6 month cycles, from their India facility and brain drain the Americans to take back the skills learned forever to India.The Santa Clara office was top heavy with workers from India and China who are protectionist and sabotaged the American workers. American workers are let go first in order to keep the Indians and Chinese. Human resources does not back up the American workers in the discriminatory practices of the foreign workers and you will find yourself quickly shown the door if you speak up."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Management should gain some ethics and morality and make jobs in America for Americans, period."
"Citrix was a fun job, but it would be better working there as an employee rather than as a contractor."
