I feel management did what they could with what they were given, however, executive management could look into benefits including paid time off for their full-time employees.
1.8Citadel has a culture of mediocrity. Technology is hopelessly obsolete; all analytics is “a mile wide and an inch deep”. The management actively discourages any improvement because it is “good enough” for what they do. There is no advancement and absolutely nothing to learn after about 2-3 years, so it feels more like a job than a career. The pay and fund returns are below average. It does not take long for a newcomer to realize it, so turnover rate is very high. As a result there is no teamwork and collaboration.
They are not looking for suggestions, that was why I was let go. I represented structured management with clear deliverables and a fair review process. Citadel is not interested in that. It is all about who is your friend and when they will betray you.
