"The position itself was a great job. I had freedom to create menus and specials, and develop my team as I saw fit. However, the upper management of the parent company, who have no knowledge of restaurant management or procedures, would get in the way of day to day operations management. They did not understand that the restaurant business operates differently than a retail business does, and they would not listen to the restaurant managers when we tried to explain the differences."
