"Not sure why I got hired for an unwarranted management of offshores. My profile has been of technical expertise, prior to Ciena, with industry standard experience. The offshore model works for corporate who know how to get quality product from offshores. It does not work for IT Hubs, who give entire work to offshores, hoping just to collect the bonus from shoddy fast IT solutions, encouraging a quacky IT culture. Investing in latest technologies is spending company's money, investing in offshores is spending company's money. Building quality IT internally, if with/without superior management of offshores is giving back to the company. Think about it. IT is not about legacy managers, but about quality technological solutions."
