Working at Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, NV: 1 Employee Reviews

Photographer

What do you like about working at Chapel of the Flowers?

"The people around you are great. The low level employees really work hard and mostly enjoy the job. Until..."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be careful, if you live at home and want to get some great work experience in the photography industry -- go for it. If you expect to be treated well and want to grow and progress -- move on and don't work here."

What don't you like about working at Chapel of the Flowers?

"It's a family owned business with all the issues that come from too many hands stirring the pot. Owners like to say it's a chapel family, but employees are paid minimum wage (+ suggested tips and shrinking commissions). Some major issues:1) If an employee accidentally orders photo prints it is taken out of their pay.2) Limousine drivers pay for their own gas while when on the clock driving company cars and not reimbursed.3) Employees are ofter given additional assignments (often stressful and time consuming) and not additionally compensated an any way. Most of the time these additional assignments take you away from the tip and commission making work you already do -- thus giving them difficult work load at minimum wage."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Let your operations management team do the job you hired them to do. Get your fingers and egos out of the work place."
