What do you like about working at Centric Group?
"I love how the company takes care of it's employees. I also love how the company encourages independent thinking and problem solving. The company provides great perks like bonuses, 17 vacation days per year, medical, dental, supp life insurance, 401K, profit-sharing, etc. This company is also very big on promoting from within."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you are positive and well spoken with adequate experience and accessibility, you should interview well."
What don't you like about working at Centric Group?
"Little support for middle management; making middle management apprehensive to hold employees accountable for performance and actions. Human resources needs better sensitivity and confidentiality training. On-site HR's are unnecessary and provide more opportunity for breaches in confidentiality. Necessary purchases take a literal act of congress to get approved. There are also too many managers in some regions, causing micro-management and serious lacks in communication. Operations management tasks should be delegated into each location, with customer service managed by the account managers. Too much personnel involved with each customer provides confusion and mistakes in communication."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Train and support your management. This company is big on promoting from within, but rather than actually train them for success, they allow them to get terminated for basic mistakes. This is an awful waste of resources and does not encourage others to desire to move up. This causes the company to have to hire from the outside, using the experience and training provided by the influence of these outsiders to train seasoned employees and then giving the outsiders the boot once their usefulness has peaked. Please offer all of your management training in six-sigma principles and other standard certifications. Support their decision making within reason and fully/fairly investigate all complaints, taking possible retaliation into consideration. Do not penalize management for retention, or lower your retention standards. Many managers will NOT hold their team accountable for their actions because it effects their raises and personnel files. This causes dissension the minute that they must hold employees accountable for performance or their actions. If you do this, you will achieve the desired result from promoting from within, and you will not victimize outsiders hired in that are not quite used to your culture."
