"Great place to work. Good benefits and good pay"
"I worked at Centerpoint for a few months and it was a pleasant place to work. My team and supervisor were encouraging and did not micromanage the work I implemented. The management team provided an atmosphere that did not hinder my self-esteem or working style."
"Good company to work for. Continuously looking to improve culture through increase of leadership engagement and participation throughout an enterprise level."
"Great Company that promotes work-life balance"
"Excellent service of the electric system Center point all ways there. Ready to go, all way help, school, disasters, and emergency situation."
"Centerpoint energy is a great company to work with. There is a potential growth since the manager and environment is highly motivating and dedicated."
"Center Point Energy is a company that is great for a young professional. The initial 5 years of your career will be steady and relatively stress free with the opportunity to immerse yourself in the gas industry. The opportunities are bountiful if you are willing to move at the drop of a hat."
"Excellent place to work. I highly recommend"
"Wonderful people, everyone here works as a team. Very attractive work environment. I encourage anyone who want to join this company."
"The company was once a good company -- it had it's faults, certainly. (Chief among them being vastly below-market compensation, the ugliest office space imaginable, lack of flexibility on the part of management, lack of caring or motivation on the part of senior management, "not my problem" mentality, close-mindedness and inflexibility towards change born from monopoly-related "can do no wrong" mentality). However, more recently, the company demonstrated a willingness to treat its long-time employees like dirt in exchange for profits. Case in point: the recent acquisition of Vectren, Inc. All of Vectren's employees who were laid off, without exception, were given a 2-year severance package. CNP's own employees not only got laid off (who lays off their own people in an out-of-state acquisition?) but received a package that was at least 4 times worse than Vectren's employees. Because, clearly, the other company's employees are 4 times more valuable than your own. The senior management then proceeded to give themselves a raise. Typical corporate greed. There really is no good reason to work for them."
"I’ve was employed with CenterPoint Energy for 10 years and 4 months. I received my Journeyman Lineman certification, along with OSHA safety training during my time there. Working for the local utility has opened so many more doors for me, and would recommend linework for all those interested."
"A growing company that offers job stability and personal growth."
"I have been a CO-OP for CenterPoint for multiple semesters and the biggest asset this company has is its culture. As a CO-OP, they will assist you with everything even if you don't know much of the concept. You have to have the drive to learn. Most employees stay here for years because the company takes the extra mile to help their employees. Only bad thing is that there are very limited resources to go up the management ladder."
"It is a good company with good environment but compensation is not that great."
"centerpoint energy is great company to work the department I work I have very good team to work with knowledgeable personals we work on different application and devices but the compensation is not that great"
