What do you like about working at Carrier Sales and Distribution?

"Great compensation and benefits (full education reimbursement, regardless of what you study, AND you get $10k in stock options once you complete a degree)."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Very attractive: great compensation/benefits, nice office, presents itself as a true fortune 50 corporation...HOWEVER, make sure they explain your job requirements and goals clearly, otherwise you may end up eating that tasty piece of cheese that's sitting on the spring."

What don't you like about working at Carrier Sales and Distribution?

"Frequent layoffs/firings.You are dispensable! At any moment they can (and will) get rid of you...must exceed goals (you have 1 year)! Extremes: can get very stressful very fast (last minute projects that just came up), and you will find yourself working overtime often. Lots of red tape."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop following 'the book' and be scared of 'corporate' all the time and make decisions that make sense, not just those that you think will make 'corporate' happy so you can keep your job. At the same time, don't be lazy and use loopholes to get what you want while avoiding corporate scrutiny...instead, find proof of your reasoning behind your decisions to bridge the disjunction between corporate and management."
