"The periodic layoffs that began in 2001 and continue to present day. Globalization -- as a veteran of the US military, I find this tactic akin to a slap in the face."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Reduce management and focus on technical talent (R&D, pre-sales support, post-sales support, training, etc.). Address the environment of fear."

"We could do with much less management. Layoffs do well to make numbers look good but they deteriorate morale. This is a far cry from the company Joe Costello ran."
