What do you like about working at FedEx?
"FedEx is the best company to work for. Fred Smith has all the people in place to get the best job done. It is a big family."

"Be upfront and honest. They look for the best of the best."
What don't you like about working at FedEx?
"That their headquarters is in Memphis TN, and I have four kids and a mother that is sick in South Florida or I would still be there."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I have friend that calls me all the time and I tell them to stick in there, you will not find a better company to work for. They have been calling before our country has got in to this Economic Roller-Coaster."

"National City was a fantastic place to work, I was displaced do to cut backs in the Mortage industry and the division was sold to PNC, I would apply for a new position with the company, but would have to move back to Miamisburg, Dayton OH area and I don't want to leave family at this stage in my career."
What do you like about working at National City Mortgage?
"All my coworker were li8ke family, which helped us to also be very open and honest about getting the work done that need to be completed without delay and also help the professionalism of the group, the training was top notch and always readily available when the need arose."

"Always be yourself and ask if you need assistance, they will be there for you."

"I don't like that I am not there anymore!"

"Not being able to use my security clearance"

"Be more pro-active in the process for new hires, once that new hire is on-board with your company, make sure you keep in contact with that person for the first three to four months."

"If you are a hard working individual, this is the place to be. Working at TFS was a great experience and the knowledge gained has helped my personal life and career tremendously."

"Working as a contarctor, the job was very demanding and we often did not receive recognition for our accomplishments."

"No Micromanagement"

"I enjoyed the level of employee empowerment that was extended."

"The communication could have been better. This would have encouraged better performance."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Improve communications. Be sure on a project that all team members are on the same page with good project management. The project management that I worked under was poor at best."

"IBM = Indian Built Machines."
What do you like about working at IBM?
"Ability to work from home. The trust of using laptops that can be connected anywhere in the world."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"You must sweat it out to be a true IBMer... people coming in as a contractor or coming in from a company that was bought out by IBM are considered less than desirable."
What don't you like about working at IBM?
"Their performance review system. They use it as a risk factor when wanting to downsize. Some department managers play favoritism to the female and gay/lesbian personnel. Management does not allow their workers to give ideas on how to make the department run better. Does not want to listen to problems and does not know how to handle stressful situations."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Allow bi-directional communication of employee suggestions on how to run the company. Don't follow the crowd and fire people in NA to be replaced by workers in India. The ratio of losing jobs to India is 3:1."
