"They need to be open to the bigger picture and really see what the employee has to offer and it will be a win win situation."

"How they changed management styles and changed the whole growth process and it was not about building relationships with customers anymore."

"Listen to the employees and the ideas that they have to bring."

What do you like about working at GA Resource Capital?
"The people I worked with, the clients I met, and the SBA products we represented were the best parts of the job. If the economy had been stable or growing instead of collapsing it may have been a great place to work."
What don't you like about working at GA Resource Capital?
"The collapsing economy and seizing of the credit markets made the job very difficult as banks were unwilling to lend money to their customers which meant there were very few projects available for SBA 504 support. Watch the full-time staff get cut from 5 to just one person because of the economy and seeing very viable deals go unfunded was depressing."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Make better use of your BDOs background and experience. Give them leeway to create the marketing materials for their market instead of using generic materials designed for the Sacramento CA market."

"A very professional work environment. A haven for career development due to a strong emphasis on staff trainings."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"They are thorough in one's background knowledge in banking and would like applicant to show this. They are very result oriented and would love to see the drive that would generate business revenue in real time. In this regard applicant should have a clear plan for both producing and converting prospects."

"Too many reports to write each day that actually encroached into the time mapped out for business development."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Review the user friendliness of the 'FLEXCUBE' software used for work. Liase with various group heads/team leaders to work out how best to free out more business time to drive revenue generation."

"The owner of the bank Phil Burns was pleasant to work for, and the employees were pleasant to work with."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Ask the right questions, do not assume that all community banks provide the same facilities and tools to service clients."
What don't you like about working at Town and Country Financial ?
"The resources that were available to facilitate transition my clients to the bank. Town & Country did not provide financing on, equipment, SBA Loans, Operating Lines of Credit, etc. They were not on a same time banking system utilizing check 21."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Investing in a system network that will enhance the customers comfort with the institution. Developing credit policies to provide alternative financing to gain more market share."
