"I loved my job for the first few years but lack of any true vision and treating employees like mules forced me to leave. It's a family culture but if you aren't a blood relative then your chances of growth are very limited. Competition is eating their lunch. Once a shinning star, but now has been tarnished by years of mismanagement. 60% of family owned businesses fail in second generation and I think this is one of them. Owners love to show off their wealth but share very little with employees."

What do you like about working at BST Global?

"Getting a paycheck was about the only thing I looked forward to at BST. Had to pull myself out of bed each morning rather than wanting to start my day. Two hour lunches and getting the heck out of there by 4p."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be prepared for a very long day. You will probably meet with half of the staff. They are easily impressed so give it your all and you should do ok."

What don't you like about working at BST Global?

"The thought of working for a family owned company was very appealing to me for I didn't think there would be politics you find at larger corporations. I was wrong plain and simple. HR at this company was absolutely atrocious. Most employees are treated like mules who should be grateful for the job. Depressing and oppressing environment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Lack of accountability means that mediocre is the norm at this company. Develop a vision rather than borrow from others. Begin to harness the passion of your employees before they all lose sight. Lead by example."

"Look at alternative companies in Tampa as BST lost it shine a long time ago. Unless you are a family member or one of their personal friends, you will not go anywhere in this company."

"Management! They have no real vision. Company is family owned so not a lot of room for growth. Innovate rather than simply produce subpar solutions."

"Start treating your employees with respect and give compensation based on merit. Start to treat your employees as you would want to be treated."

"There was not too much not to love about BST Global. Perhaps its close proximity to the airport."

"While BST Global is a smaller technology company, they have a very well established reputation in the industry. This was possible by the hard work and dedication of their employees. I can honestly say that I had never worked with such a talented group of individuals."

"Be yourself. The interview process is long and difficult but once you are in then its a great experience."

What don't you like about working at BST Global?

"Every company has its pluses and minuses and surely they have their up days as well as down. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Its a smaller company so there is a high level of accountability and integrity."

"Keep up the great work and always challenge the current vision."

"Dont do it!! They hire out of state and relocate for a reason... Dont fall for the trap."

"Everything. The family that runs this company is a total joke. Scare tactics and micromanagement. The mother actually walks around throughout the day to see if you are in your seat."

"End the bloodlines and hire outside your company. Both sons are a joke.."

"Just plain horrible. No words to describe the horrible treatment and constant humiliation from the founder and his two sons. This place is simply a nightmare and their culture is just as bad. Absolutely zero accountability and Javier's ego is brutal. Good ridden!!!!"

"Good luck. If you aren't a highschool friend of the boys or have Baldor blood (or a Baldor Brat) then you are not going anywhere in this company."

"Everything. The company sucks and their outdated products will go away too. Good luck finding another job with their useless name on your resume."

"CEO was horrible and you are forced to endure his wrath. All for under market wages."
