PACS Administrative Trainer

"This is based on knowledge acquired in working for this company for three years."

What do you like about working at BRIT Systems?

"I loved working with the customers, the developers, the other trainer, the sales reps, and some of the customer service people."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Keep loocking elsewhere, the owner is very abusive and dishonest."

What don't you like about working at BRIT Systems?

"I had a really difficult time working with the level of dishonesty of the owner of the companny and the COO. They have a disdain for following federal FDA regulations and it is a battle with them adhere to these regulations. If you confront them with it, you are berated for it. Their predominent attitude is if it is not MY idea, it is no good, and they refuse to listen to anyone else. They are abusive to their employees and make unreasonable demands. They reward the employees who are lazy an inept at doing their jobs, and they abuse the good employees. The owner has contributed to health problems of several employees because of the stress and demands. The HR Managers hands are completely tied because the owner will not listen to her. The CFO is a realy good person, but he will not stand up to the owner on any legal issues that she is violating. There is a level of dishonesty that has grown particularly the last year, and I believe it is because of lack of sales. The owner also does not reward the employees and has no schedule for reviews. Raises are non-existent until the owner desides to give them, which in the majority of cases is every 2 to 3 years. The owner does not want to grow the company beyond 50 employees so that she avoids the labor laws."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop treating people poorly, listen to what your good employees are telling you, OBEY THE LAWS - these are LAWS not suggestions - pay attention to the FDA laws and stop disobeying them. Give yearly raises, and some good old fashioned honesty would be a big benefit. Stop saying the customers are stupid. Stop berating the employees who do good work and stop rewarding the employees who perform poorly. Trust the managers you hire to make good decisions, and stop being such a control freak. Trust the sales manager to manage his team and quit trying to control everything he tries to implement. Stop the temper tantrums to the support people and the other employees. Stop micro-managing the Development manager and the support manager. Stop cheating the customers when they are paying for hardware warranties and BRIT is not purchasing the hardware warranty from the vendor and keeping the money; this oftentimes takes a couple of weeks to get the device placed under the vendor warranty and replaced. Stop releasing products before the testing is completed. Stop releasing products before the documentation is completed. If you have a contract with someone, don't cheat them out of the money they are due."
