"I used to love to come to work until 2 years ago when COVID showed up. The firm allowed all attorneys to work from home but still required staff to commute to downtown Chicago three days/week in sub-zero temperatures, during dangerous protests, shootings, and lootings No raises have been given to staff in 2 years however the attorneys continue to get raises. I realized we are considered "overhead" but without us, they could do nothing. We are people too, not mere widgets."
