4.3 I have enjoyed working at bobcat for the variety of experiences and for the atmosphere. I am not always working at my computer, and I often get to get my hands dirty maintaining and troubleshooting machines. I also have tackled new challenges where I had to compare hydraulic pump pressure to actuator voltage to help design a new function on manual loaders. I get along really well with my colleages and my supervisors, we all come from small towns and farming backgrounds, which makes it really easy to talk to everyone. I never feel intimidated by my boss, and I can talk with him about a weekend spent hunting or fishing. My colleages are for the most part very helpful, and I can rely on them for help with any project. One of my favorite parts of the job though is that I am trusted with a lot of responsibility, so I can work quite independently, but I have the backing of a team when I need help on a project.

Bobcat Company is a leading manufacturer of compact construction, excavation, agricultural and landscaping equipment. Founded in 1947 as a maker of agricultural and harvesting equipment, the company produced its first "Bobcat" loader in 1962, named for its agile movement in tight spaces and its compact shape.

Bobcat Company has its headquarters in West Fargo, North Dakota, near where the company began. Today, it employs a large workforce with more than 1,000 dealerships around the world. Its line of compact track loaders, tractors, utility vehicles and range of tools and attachments are well-known for their quality and durability. Bobcat recently expanded its Bismarck, North Dakota facility to include another 150 workers.
