Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be yourself and be honest about what you want out of a career with BlumShapiro. This is a great firm that can provide you with a fulfilling career, whether you join as an accountant, a consultant or an administrative professional. If you get hired right out of college, remember that not every firm cares about it's employees so much.... make sure you appreciate what you have! And, use the resources they offer-- from the support groups (IT, Finance, HR) to the formal mentor you're assigned, everyone really does want to help."

What don't you like about working at BlumShapiro?

"As we grow there seems to be more layers of approval needed to implement new ideas, policies etc. It's not a bad thing necessarily, but it takes longer to get from point A to point B and that can sometimes be discouraging."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I suggest being more creative, stepping out of the the professional services box to look at how we can make our employees happier. I really do think BlumShapiro does a great job, but as with any employer there's always room for improvement or advancement."
